Learning these unique abilities takes time and practice to master, but starting from a fundamental base is very important. Bad habits are hard to break. Young players are often afraid to try new things like switching hands, but the failure to learn new lax skills can limit their growth. As they mature and move up in levels these shortcomings in their game can limit their effectiveness and ability to advance. Teaching a strong foundation in the fundamentals of lacrosse is something that they will take with them for as long as they play.
