South Swell Sports Announces Wonka Contest Grand Prize Winner

In collaboration with Adrenaline Apparel and Warrior, South Swell Sports awards prizes to 10 golden ticket holders

South Swell Sports (www.SouthSwellSports.com) announced at halftime of today’s Men’s D1 championship game that Robert Flores of San Antonio, TX is the Grand Prize winner in their Wonka contest.
Robert and one of his family members will receive a free trip to the South Swell Sports headquarters in San Diego. Flores will also receive a lacrosse lesson with Matt Danowski, a surf lesson with 4 Time All-American Michael Watson, and free Warrior lacrosse gear from head to toe.
Beginning in January, South Swell publicized their Willy Wonka contest through Inside Lacrosse. Over one thousand two hundred players and coaches throughout the country registered, out of which 10 Golden ticket winners were selected at random.
The 10 golden ticket holders all received an apparel pack, courtesy of Adrenaline Apparel, which included hoodies, adrenaline socks, hats, beanies, t-shirts and the “No Big Deal” flip flop, new from Adrenaline Apparel and Sanuk.
Today, at halftime of the Duke vs. Notre Dame contest, one ticket was pulled from the 10 golden tickets, and that ticket belonged to the lucky grand prize winner, Robert Flores. Robert plays in the MCLA Division II for St. Edward’s University.
The Wonka Contest was conceived by South Swell’s President Steve Sepeta. “It’s about making someone’s moment,” said Sepeta. “A lot of resources went into this contest, and when you get the reaction from the golden ticket holders who received the Adrenaline Apparel packs, you remember why it’s important to do something out of the ordinary for people. We can’t wait for Robert’s visit. He’s going to be stoked.”
