How many NJCAA lacrosse teams there are in the USA?

I am curious to ask exactly how many NJCAA Lacrosse teams there are in competition,in the USA, that actually eligible for a National Title?
And where are all these teams located, in what parts of the country?

ANSWER
I believe there are 28 Mens lacrosse teams that are eligible for the NCJAA National Championship and 17 Womens teams.

They are all located in the North Eastern United States only.
