If I'm just beginning lacrosse do I need a certain stick size or shape etc?
Answer A very good choice to start with is a soft mesh or hard mesh 30 inch stick. Soft mesh is a little easier to catch with, but not quite as quick a shot. At first you will be challenged just to catch the ball at all so I like soft mesh in the very beginning.
Quickly as you progress you will want to move to hard mesh. Hard mesh is a lot easier to maintain and you will appreciate it more as you get a little better with your stick.
Don't spend a lot of money on your first stick. Just get something fairly affordable so you can learn the game. After you play a little you will have a better understanding of the game and where you might play and you can get more specific with your stick.
