Riddell Helmet Revolution Pad

by Griffin
(Bucks County PA)

Do I have to use the top pad in my Revolution Helmet? It makes the helmet sit too far back on my head. The inflatable pads are great but the top one is too thick and is not adjustable.

ANSWER
Absolutely do not remove the pad or alter your helmets outside of the standard adjustments provided by the manufacturers instructions. Unfortunately while Riddell is a leader in helmet manufacturing and helmet technology they are relatively new to the lacrosse world, and while they have excellent instructions and history in the football world I could not find specific fitting info for your helmet that deals directly with the top pad. Typically in a football helmet you can adjust the ride height with the top air bladder and or with different thickness pads.

I would look to contact the retailer where you purchased your helmet. They may have more specific info regarding that model and any potential adjustments that can be made. It is possible that you are dealing with the wrong size and or even brand of helmet for your head.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this particular helmet that you can share with Griffin?

What ever you do don't settle for an improperly fitting helmet. Nothing is as important as protecting your noggin, don't skimp there.

Good luck,
